Beginning January 2010, Joint Commission International Disease or Condition-Specific Care Certification will have a new name: Clinical Care Program Certification (CCPC). JCI began offering DCSC Certifications in 2005. Since that time the program has grown beyond the management of a program for diseases and/or conditions. This new name reflects the expansion of the program to include 15 categories of clinical services that are now eligible for certification. JCI's CCPC standards evaluate and certify excellence in clinical programs that are part of an organization's overall patient care services.
