Families often choose Assisted Holiday when they wish to have an enjoyable holiday with their elderly parents overseas. Assisted Holiday is also an option for an elderly couple/ a group of elderly individuals yearning to visit various places overseas.
Care & Rehabilitation
The type and extent of rehabilitation or care a person receives depends on what is needed to maintain his or her normal lifestyle:
1. Activity of Daily Living is designed to help elderly individuals perform basic activities of daily living such as eating, bathing and walking.
2. Continuous Care is designed to assist family and caregivers in providing long-term care and rehabilitation for individual suffering from a chronic illness, physical condition or impairment. These individuals usually require frequent assesment and a more intensive care by our healthcare professionals
3. Step-down Care is designed individuals who require post-hospital and post-surgical care. This service is designed to allow a seamless transition from hospital to the home environment. Depending on what is needed, the care may involve pain management, physical therapy, falls avoidance and hydro-therapy.
Specialised Care
Our specialised care programmes focus on allowing families to cope with the long-term care needs of those suffering from deteriorating illnesses such as dementia, Parkinson's and stroke, amongst others. Each program is structured and tailored to the needs and requirements of the individual and his family, to allow continued use of what functions/skills that remain, to prepare for the additional risks associated with such illnesses and to help families in coping with the long term needs of such patients through the different stages. Kronus' staff members are trained to understand the unique challenges associated with dementia patient. The team is carefully selected to ensure they are compassionate, understanding and creative.
