You will first be placed under general anesthetic and laid on the operating table. Your surgeon will begin by either making a hidden incision inside the nose or across the columnella, which is the narrow strip of tissue that separates the nostrils. After the incision has been made, your surgeon will then raise the soft tissues,  enabling him to re-shape your nose to the way you have desired.

To reduce or change nasal structures in surgery , cartilage grafted from other areas of the body can be used, especially from the septum. If, during the operation, the septum is deviated, it will be straightened, and the nose’s eternal projections will be lessened to enhance breathing.

 After your surgeon has sculpted your nose into the desired shape, the incisions are closed. In the case that any new incisions are needed, they will be made in the natural creases of the nostrils.

It may be a year or more before you can really see the final results.

You will be scheduled by your surgeon to meet a couple of months after the surgery to make an evaluation of the success and whether or not your nose healed properly. In the event the surgery was not successful, he will offer advice on what to do next.
