Low Back Pain
Low back pain is one of the most common types of complaints and affects most people at least one time or another. Even though doctors are often unsure of the actual cause of low back pain, it is usually associated with overuse, strain or injury. Low back pain is also very much a part of aging, as bones and muscles become weaker over time and as a result of arthritis, broken vertebrae, bone loss, illness or an innate spinal problem. Low back pain is known to become worse and long-lasting if the person suffers from stress or depression. Surgery is occasionally needed to treat herniated discs and other unusual problems.
